Lovable is an AI app builder from Stockholm. You describe the app you want in plain English, and it generates a working web app you can preview, edit, and publish straight from the browser.
Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin started it in 2023 as the open-source project GPT Engineer, then relaunched it as Lovable in 2024. The company grew quickly and became one of the fastest-scaling software startups to come out of Europe.
Generated projects use React and ordinary web code rather than a locked format, so you can export them or wire up a Supabase database. Projects also sync to GitHub, which lets a non-developer and an engineer work on the same codebase.
