Figma is the dominant interface-design tool, and these days it sits firmly inside US Big Tech. For design teams in agencies, the public sector or regulated industries, keeping work files and client mockups on EU infrastructure has become a real requirement rather than a nice extra. The European tools below cover interface design, prototyping and collaboration. Some are open source and self-hostable; others are hosted in the EU. They won't match Figma plugin for plugin, but for day-to-day design work they hold up.
