European alternatives to Chrome

Discover European-built tools you can use instead of Chrome.

Chrome is Google's browser and the most popular on earth. It's fast and well built. It's also the data-collection arm of an advertising company: it ties your browsing to your Google account, and Google has been slow to switch on stronger anti-tracking defaults. The European browsers below are built on the same open web standards, so your sites and most extensions still work. The difference is they block trackers by default and aren't tuned to feed an ad business. Switching is mostly painless. Bookmarks and saved passwords import in a couple of clicks.
